Base Salary
$190k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical projects from requirements analysis through to production launch.
- Design and implement substantial technical changes.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance their technical skills.
- Champion reliability and operational excellence within the team.
- Collaborate across teams and time zones to ensure project success.
- Bring live functionalities that impact many merchants and shoppers within weeks.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in the software development industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building Java web services.
- Experience designing performant relational database models, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Kafka and/or Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts.
- Experience leading technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Open to some domestic and international travel.
