Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Create automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- Test frontend UI, backend APIs, and database components for comprehensive coverage.
- Perform data validation using SQL database queries, including medium to complex queries.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Analyze automated test results and metrics and perform root-cause failure analysis.
- Improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and test coverage.
- Collaborate with stakeholders as an individual contributor.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in QA or test automation.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on Playwright experience.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java-based test automation frameworks, including Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Hands-on API testing experience with REST Assured, Postman, or Playwright API testing capabilities.
- Knowledge of CI/CD integration tools and practices.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: Selenium or Cypress experience and migration experience to Playwright.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted automation, including test generation and intelligent test maintenance.
- Banking domain experience is preferred.
