Senior Software Engineer AI, Drug Development IT – Clinical Operations

- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, implement, and fine-tune LLM-based solutions using Claude and other frontier models.
- Build prompt engineering pipelines using system prompts, chain-of-thought frameworks, and few-shot examples.
- Develop responsive React.js interfaces, AI-powered dashboards, chat interfaces, and data visualization components.
- Customize and optimize model implementations using Constitutional AI techniques and advanced API integrations.
- Evaluate model performance, conduct A/B tests, and implement feedback loops.
- Architect scalable backend services using Python frameworks and/or Node.js.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for AI model integrations.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, and role-based access control for secure authentication and authorization.
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, and AWS Glue data environments.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Coach the development team on Agile methodologies and software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of professional experience, including at least two years of full-stack development.
- Strong front-end and back-end experience with Python, Flask, React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with databases and data services such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS Glue.
- At least one year of hands-on experience with frontier LLMs including Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, or LLaMA.
- Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, LoRA, RLHF, instruction tuning, and RAG pipelines.
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or ChromaDB.
- Familiarity with model evaluation metrics and benchmarking.
- Ability to collect and review data sources and apply potential recommendations.
- Experience working in an Agile or product-based environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to coach junior team members and foster continuous learning.
