Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, optimized, and secure software solutions.
- Build and integrate Java and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, and front-end applications with ReactJS and related technologies.
- Work with Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Manage or contribute to GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, Wiz, Prisma, Maven, Gradle, and DevSecOps practices.
- Implement unit testing, participate in code reviews, and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Work with messaging and event-driven technologies such as IBM MQ and Kafka.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Lead or mentor development teams, guide technical decisions, and contribute to modernization of legacy applications.
- Identify and mitigate risks, strengthen controls, and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and Test-Driven Development.
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes and containerized application development and deployment.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube, Wiz, Prisma, Maven or Gradle, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ or Kafka.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams within banking or financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience leading development teams, conducting code reviews, mentoring, and making technical decisions is valued.
- Knowledge of payment systems, corporate banking, lending, transaction banking, observability tools, application security, secure coding, microservices modernization, Domain Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, and API-led integrations is valued.
