Responsibilities
- Design, code, and debug Golang-based systems.
- Develop and deliver digital solutions to GDS standards in multidisciplinary product and DevOps teams.
- Perform functional, API, UI, unit, and automated testing.
- Work in continuous-improvement environments with multiple releases each week.
- Provide team leadership and mentoring.
- Collaborate with product owners or managers, UX designers and researchers, developers, and platform engineers.
- Work with relational databases, data modelling, SQL scripts, and stored procedures.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience developing digital solutions to GDS standards and working in Agile, product development, and continuous-improvement environments.
- Demonstrable experience designing, coding, and debugging Golang systems.
- Experience with Golang, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Atlassian tools, Maven, Gradle, Ant, Git, JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, relational databases, and functional test automation including API and UI testing.
- Team leadership and mentoring experience.
- Experience with AWS, Camunda, Activiti, Flowable, React, Angular, Vue.js, Red Hat OpenShift, or the NCSC's 14 cloud security principles is desirable.
- Must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5+ years.
