Responsibilities

  • Perform software development across the full software development lifecycle, from analysis through code deployment.
  • Analyze business needs and project requirements and define application architecture and system process flows.
  • Prepare, present, and maintain software design documents.
  • Develop coding changes to deliver application functionality.
  • Create test plans and test cases and perform software testing phases.
  • Research application issues, implement fixes, and test applications for deployment.
  • Deliver long-term application improvements for compatibility, lower maintenance costs, efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Analyze new requirements, provide estimates, and support application project slotting.
  • Present application performance improvement and innovation ideas to Product and IT management.
  • Provide on-call production support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an IT software development job title.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing on IBM z/OS mainframes.
  • At least 2 years of experience with COBOL, VSAM, CICS, TCPIP, DB2, JCL, and Batch.
  • At least 2 years of experience with software development processes including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and production deployment support.
  • At least 1 year of experience using Jira to track application projects.
