Base Salary
$146k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, launch, and maintain backend systems for consumer identity validation and KYC-related regulatory requirements.
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate with teammates and stakeholders for timely execution.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, Auth, Fraud, Product Management, Design, and Analytics to evaluate technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support system availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
- Write clear, well-tested, extensible code; debug existing code and provide feedback through code reviews.
- Participate in team growth and development activities, including interviewing.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components.
- Ability to navigate large codebases, debug code, and provide constructive code-review feedback.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
