Base Salary
$150k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and deploy modular Terraform infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and other cloud providers.
- Maintain and optimize Google Kubernetes Engine clusters, including uptime, networking, and scaling for containerized services.
- Use LLM-based coding assistants and manage improvements to the company-wide AI platform.
- Streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve developer experience and production deployment velocity.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and development of long-term reliability fixes.
- Optimize cloud resource usage and costs while maintaining performance and security standards.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams on cloud architecture and best practices.
- Build and enhance the Backstage internal developer portal to support engineering self-service.
Requirements
- Experience designing and managing cloud environments covering compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Working knowledge of containers and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker in production or staging environments.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including VPCs, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and a disciplined approach to reliability and security.
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
- Preferred: Ability to automate tasks using Python, Bash, or Go.
- Preferred: Exposure to financial technology, crypto systems, or high-volume web platforms.
