Responsibilities
- Identify customer initiatives and business problems and map them to Cloudflare solutions
- Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts
- Develop and present customer presentations across enterprise customer organizations
- Lead demos and proof-of-concept activities for prospects and customers
- Create professional technical content including white papers and blog posts
- Represent and evangelize Cloudflare at developer, community, technology, cybersecurity, and industry events
- Apply vertical or domain expertise and advise customers on best practices
- Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical sales support
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or in another customer-facing technical role involving CDN, security, networking, or SaaS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and activities concurrently
- Fundamental understanding of customer network and application architectures
- Understanding of hybrid architectures involving Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Understanding of application and network security, SaaS environments, VPN and remote access, SIEM and log analytics platforms, and client operating system fundamentals
- Knowledge of routing, subnetting, split tunnels, SD-WAN, local internet breakout, DDoS, malware, phishing, viruses, CDN providers, and internet security technologies
- Experience communicating network and security transformation concepts to senior executives is desirable
- The role requires up to 50% travel and may require authorization to access technology controlled under U.S. export laws
