Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop autonomous AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, and executing multi-step workflows.
- Create agent-based architectures using LangChain, AutoGen, and similar orchestration frameworks.
- Build APIs, integrations, tools, memory management capabilities, and vector database integrations for intelligent agent operations.
- Develop, train, deploy, integrate, maintain, and optimize machine learning and LLM-based solutions.
- Create AI-enabled automation for business processes and SDLC activities, including coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and operational support.
- Implement MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, scalable deployment environments, evaluation pipelines, and observability for enterprise AI operations.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, security, and lifecycle support for AI systems.
- Develop dashboards, reports, predictive analytics, and executive-level visualizations.
- Implement AI governance frameworks, security controls, ethical AI standards, transparency mechanisms, risk mitigation, and compliance processes.
- Provide AI strategy, roadmap development, assessments, briefings, technical training, mentoring, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with CIO leadership, technical teams, program offices, and business stakeholders on AI adoption and enterprise modernization.
- Provide ongoing monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization, retraining, and lifecycle management for deployed AI capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong mathematics, or four additional years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of hands-on AI development experience for the Senior AI Engineer level; the Principal AI Engineer level requires 8+ years leading or delivering AI, automation, or software development projects.
- Experience contributing to or leading AI or automation initiatives, including agent frameworks, orchestration tools, and automation workflows.
- Strong mathematical foundation in algebra, statistics, calculus, or related fields applied to AI/ML model development.
- Hands-on experience developing, training, evaluating, and optimizing AI/ML models for real-world operational challenges.
- Proficiency building AI solutions using Python, Visual Studio Code, and related languages.
- Strong understanding of generative AI, LLM integration, modern AI frameworks, APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, and scalable deployment strategies.
- Experience with LangChain, AutoGen, vector databases, memory management, PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLOps, CI/CD, containerization, and observability or monitoring.
- Ability to create reliable AI scripts and programs, document and transition tools to operational teams, and explain sophisticated AI concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Experience working across infrastructure environments and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise automation frameworks, applications, and systems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with analytics, data-driven environments, team leadership, dashboards, reports, predictive analytics, executive visualizations, cloud platforms, Agile methodologies, and enterprise-scale AI deployments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, pass government background screening including fingerprinting, and satisfy the USPS U.S. residency requirement.
