Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across COBOL, DB2, CICS, Java/Spring, and Cloud Run systems while improving associated agent tooling.
- Design and operate least-privilege, audited MCP servers integrating DB2, Splunk, and GCP.
- Build production multi-agent workflows with Google ADK for error triage, ADR authoring, and originations debugging.
- Develop the loan-originations ontology, knowledge graph, and hybrid vector-plus-graph retrieval capabilities.
- Ship deterministic Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot backend services for audit, provenance, and human review workflows on GCP.
- Create evaluations, evaluation runners, automated test-case generation, grading systems, and measurable quality improvements for AI tools and agents.
- Author ADRs, business-logic documents, skill files, and Splunk saved-search catalogs, and publish monthly agent-autonomy and engineering-improvement metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience building and operating production-grade backend systems as a hands-on engineer.
- 5+ years of experience with Python and Java; Kotlin and TypeScript are additional qualifications.
- At least 1 year of experience shipping AI-enabled applications in production, including agent frameworks, retrieval systems, or LLM-backed services.
- Experience with Google ADK, LangGraph, LangChain, or a comparable agent orchestration framework.
- Practical experience with MCP tool integrations, agent communication patterns, AI observability, vector search, hybrid retrieval, knowledge graphs, or GraphRAG.
- Strong backend fundamentals including Spring Boot, relational database query and schema design, REST/OpenAPI, TDD, and modern CI/CD.
- Production experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI, Cloud Run, or BigQuery, or an equivalent cloud.
- Comfort operating in complex, multi-tier, legacy-integrated environments where change control and auditability matter.
- Preferred experience with semantic technologies, ontology engineering, Neo4j, Neptune, mainframe systems, Splunk SPL, event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub, Kafka, Docker, or Kubernetes.
