Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable systems for ingesting and processing real-time and recorded audio/video streams.
- Build reliable, performant, low-latency media pipelines and real-time or asynchronous workflows.
- Contribute to distributed-systems architecture focused on scalability, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers.
- Analyze complex technical problems and recommend system improvements and optimizations.
- Implement unit, integration, and automated testing and promote software quality practices.
- Ensure software meets security standards and compliance requirements while addressing vulnerabilities and risks.
Requirements
- Experience with real-time communication systems such as VoIP, SIP, RTP, or WebRTC.
- Experience with audio or video processing pipelines, codecs, or streaming technologies.
- Experience building and operating microservices and REST/gRPC APIs.
- Familiarity with metrics, logging, tracing, and debugging distributed systems.
- Experience applying security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CDK, CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and managing applications in Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, ownership, project leadership, and mentoring skills.
