Responsibilities
- Understand project goals and requirements, identify omissions and testing impediments, and gather business requirements.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test results.
- Perform manual and functional testing, including end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks and tools and drive quality automation initiatives.
- Create defect reports, track issues through resolution, and forecast high-risk software areas.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other teams to resolve quality issues and support project test phases.
- Provide timely test-result updates to management and help manage conflicts, productivity, hiring, and talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4–6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong QA background in manual and functional testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, writing test cases, and gathering requirements.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Understanding of QA processes and standards, including functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages, logical implementations, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- Ability to manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire and grow talent, and work effectively with development and business teams.
