Responsibilities
- Produce low-level designs and comprehensive solution designs for Java applications.
- Design, develop, debug, optimize, and maintain scalable Java software solutions.
- Develop full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, HTML5, TypeScript, React.js, or Angular.
- Implement RESTful services, JPA-based data access, multithreaded code, and complex relational data models.
- Apply unit testing, automated testing, secure coding, code reviews, and software quality practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and integrate solutions.
- Support continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Mentor junior developers, guide team members, and promote technical best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Manage risk and controls and contribute to Location Strategy project delivery within quality and governance standards.
Requirements
- Expertise producing low-level designs and solution designs for Java applications.
- Extensive Java 17+ development experience using Spring Boot 3+.
- Strong knowledge of Generics, object-oriented programming, Collections, multithreading, I/O, Streams, RESTful services, and JPA.
- Advanced ability to read, write, debug, and optimize multithreaded Java code.
- Experience with HTML5, TypeScript, React.js 16+ or Angular 10+.
- Experience with JIRA, Git, GitLab, and IntelliJ IDEA.
- Experience with JUnit 4/5 and JavaScript testing tools such as Karma, Jest, or Mocha.
- Proficiency with relational databases, ideally Microsoft SQL Server, including complex data-model design, optimization, and querying.
- Understanding of enterprise design patterns, web architecture, continuous integration, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, mentoring, leadership, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- Exposure to cloud-based solutions and container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and solve complex technical problems in a structured manner.
