Base Salary
$125k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable Java services supporting ACH, wires, checks, and internal transfers.
- Develop highly available cloud-based microservices and integrations with banking and money-movement vendor systems.
- Implement messaging, authentication, automated testing, and database solutions.
- Improve production resilience, reliability, security, and client experience.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, site reliability engineers, and business partners on technical decisions.
- Modernize critical platforms and contribute to architectural diagrams, design documentation, and technical specifications.
- Mentor engineers through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience developing large-scale, highly available software using Java, Spring Boot, cloud frameworks, and REST APIs.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud-based containers and microservices, CI/CD, automated testing, and SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, DB2, or comparable databases.
- At least 3 years of experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent messaging technologies and authentication protocols such as OAuth or SAML.
- At least 3 years of experience integrating vendor systems supporting banking or money movement.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to secure, resilient production systems.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, legacy application modernization, Spring-based batch applications, enterprise scheduling tools, FIS Profile, Enterprise Payments Platform, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, cross-functional collaboration, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills.
