Responsibilities
- Develop web applications and enterprise financial-services software using server-side and client-side frameworks.
- Define and implement application-level architecture and participate in architecture design teams.
- Develop applications, components, and subsystems for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Build and deploy cloud applications using AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and uDeploy.
- Perform unit, integration, and front-end testing; recommend testing tools and methodologies; and ensure QA readiness.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and establish project life-cycle plans for complex projects.
- Plan and coordinate schedules and assignments, manage risks, and support on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Serve as a liaison with business units to resolve technology issues and provide technical estimates.
- Advise senior management on technical strategy and mentor junior team members.
- Conduct complex technical and functional analysis and develop original technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or a foreign education equivalent, plus five years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree in one of these fields plus three years of relevant experience.
- Experience developing software applications with Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy in a financial-services environment.
- Expertise developing enterprise financial-services applications and microservices using J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, iBatis, and JDBC.
- Experience with responsive MVC design and front-end development using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, JavaScript unit testing, and integration testing.
- Experience developing Oracle PL/SQL and MySQL databases, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing database operations.
- Experience deploying cloud applications using AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Shell scripting.
- Experience developing application observability metrics and views using DataDog and Splunk.
- Experience with application architecture, technical analysis, project planning, risk management, and mentoring.
