Base Salary
$100k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical deployment requests from initial triage through resolution.
- Clarify ambiguous requests, diagnose problems, and identify practical solutions.
- Build tools and one-off pipelines for urgent customer, partner, and internal needs.
- Work with research and go-to-market teams to unblock deployments.
- Debug across code, data, and environments while balancing speed, quality, correctness, and security.
- Document recurring issues and automate manual work into reusable tools or processes.
- Work directly with technical customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in applied research engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role.
- Experience combining research engineering and forward-deployed work.
- Proficiency with Python, Docker, and Linux environments.
- Experience with benchmarks and evaluations for reinforcement learning training data and AI agents, including realistic tasks, reliable rubrics, and useful training trajectories.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.
- Experience owning technical deployments and building solutions for urgent issues.
- Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating across time zones in a fast-paced startup environment.
Benefits
- Annual salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 170,000.
