Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build Atlas agentic capabilities using VLMs, tool calls, context engineering, and memory.
- Design and implement observability, logging, and tracing infrastructure.
- Develop evaluations and benchmarks for reasoning quality, safety, reliability, and generalization.
- Build operator dashboards, task configuration UIs, and diagnostic interfaces.
- Collaborate with behavior, controls, product, and interaction-design teams to ship end-to-end capabilities.
- Engage customers and internal stakeholders to understand use cases and deliver practical, reliable solutions.
- Contribute through code reviews, testing, documentation, and thoughtful system design.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background spanning backend and LLM integrations.
- Ability to design and integrate APIs and third-party services in complex distributed-system environments.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software architecture.
- Proficiency with modern backend technologies such as TypeScript and Python and data stores such as Postgres and Redis.
- Ability to ship reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code.
- Preferred: experience with VLM-based agentic systems, context engineering, tool use, model selection or fine-tuning, and coding agents.
- Preferred: experience building model and harness benchmarks, including gym environments, datasets, tooling, or leaderboards.
- Preferred: experience with robotics systems, computer vision models, and real-time data pipelines.
- Preferred: proficiency with modern frontend frameworks such as React and familiarity with observability platforms such as OpenTelemetry.
