Cognite - AI for IndustryResponsibilities
- Develop Cognite Data Fusion, a state-of-the-art SaaS platform for industrial data.
- Design and implement APIs and robust services using Java, Python, and Kotlin.
- Build graph database technology with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch for an industrial knowledge graph.
- Collaborate with application teams to improve user experiences for complex real-world problems.
- Build scalable and performant solutions using Spark, FoundationDB, and Cognite’s data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Participate actively in product and technical decisions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend software engineering experience with Java, Python, and/or Kotlin.
- Experience with modern database technologies, including PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
- Ability to write efficient, maintainable code and actively maintain codebase quality.
- Broad experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience building, testing, deploying, and monitoring software in multi-cloud Kubernetes environments across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including analyzing logs, traces, and metrics.
- Understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Comfort engaging with open-source communities through feature requests and contributions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
