Software Engineer 2
Black Duck Software, Inc.Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications using Go and Java.
- Conduct code reviews and perform thorough testing to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions and deliverables.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of total work experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages, primarily Golang, which is required.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or another database, including performance optimization and scaling.
- Experience with distributed services and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ for messaging queue-based communication.
- Experience securing microservices and implementing authentication and data protection measures.
- Familiarity with authorization models, including role-based access control.
- Experience with gRPC and RESTful web services.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, relational databases, and ORM-based persistence layers for microservices.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud infrastructure services such as networking, cloud storage, IAM, and cloud functions.
