Responsibilities
- Interact directly with customers to understand application-performance needs and deployment obstacles.
- Analyze and resolve workload bottlenecks, scalability issues, and migration challenges across the application, operating system, runtime, and hardware stack.
- Help customers migrate, validate, deploy, and optimize workloads on Arm AGI CPU platforms and Arm SoC products.
- Optimize CPU, memory, cache, storage, I/O, resource utilization, scalability, and power efficiency.
- Use profiling, tracing, PMU data, benchmarking, and root-cause analysis to characterize system performance.
- Collaborate with Arm architecture, silicon, firmware, kernel, compiler, and software ecosystem groups.
- Provide customer feedback, contribute to performance guides and enablement materials, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, or a Master’s degree or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar area.
- Background in performance engineering, software optimization, systems engineering, or similar technical roles.
- Strong understanding of modern CPU architecture and system-performance fundamentals.
- Experience with Linux performance-analysis tools and Linux-based environments.
- Strong programming and scripting skills.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Arm architecture and server-platform experience, x86-to-Arm workload migration, AI/ML framework and database optimization, cloud-native applications, GCC and LLVM/Clang compiler optimization, Kubernetes, virtualization, hardware PMUs, low-level performance monitoring, and industry-standard benchmarks.
