Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java, JEE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Lead event-driven service development using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, streaming patterns, and schema evolution.
- Own RESTful API strategy, JSON modeling, backward-compatible versioning, and API governance.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards, design reviews, and coding practices.
- Design ETL pipelines and lead legacy-to-cloud and system-to-system data migrations, including validation and reconciliation.
- Establish data quality, profiling, governance, mapping, transformation, and normalization practices for clinical data.
- Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, and Secret Manager.
- Build CI/CD automation and implement SecDevOps practices including threat modeling, secure coding, dependency scanning, secrets management, and container hardening.
- Implement observability with tracing, dashboards, alerts, and service-level objectives.
- Integrate microservices with EHR systems using HL7 v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and healthcare APIs.
- Support secure patient-data exchange and HIPAA-aligned interoperability workflows while collaborating with compliance and security teams.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- At least 7 years developing applications with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
- At least 5 years designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- At least 3 years with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.
- At least 3 years with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- At least 3 years with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- At least 2 years working with public cloud platforms, including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with HS diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience accepted.
- Preferred experience includes healthcare integrations using FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR, Epic, Cerner, or MEDITECH.
- Preferred experience includes technical initiative leadership, application modernization, cloud transformation, data migration, ETL, data quality, healthcare data management, and regulated healthcare environments.
- Preferred knowledge includes OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, secrets management, vulnerability management, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, HIPAA, and HITRUST.
