Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side components using Python or Node.js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
- Migrate existing applications to AWS and modify or build applications for cloud environments.
- Design, configure, and implement AWS serverless and event-driven architectures.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, tested, and documented code.
- Optimize, troubleshoot, and debug applications for performance, scalability, and compatibility.
- Maintain cloud-based applications and infrastructure and support cloud technology performance strategies.
- Establish development environments and continuous integration pipelines.
- Translate user needs into technical specifications and support cloud-based business processes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Create operational instructions and documentation for cloud computing environments.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply relevant developments to the work.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science.
- 7–10 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Developer.
- Strong experience with AWS serverless architecture, including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, EC2, and AWS developer and deployment services.
- Proficiency in Python or Node.js and their ecosystems and best practices.
- Experience building backend systems and APIs.
- Strong solution design experience with microservice, event-driven, and cloud-native architectures.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing frameworks and tools, databases, configuration management, elastic computing, SaaS, PaaS, cloud security, and cloud storage.
- Experience with AWS cloud computing platforms from development through deployment.
- Enterprise development experience in highly regulated industries.
- Exposure to AI-related development and use of AI tools in production.
- Experience building backends with Java is a plus.
- Experience using Copilot is preferred or expected as part of the development workflow.
