Responsibilities
- Develop and support QA test strategies, methodologies, standards, project plans, schedules, milestones, and staffing plans for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives.
- Determine testing scope and approach, review requirements for testability and traceability, and define test data, environments, entry criteria, and exit criteria.
- Develop and execute test scenarios and cases across SIT, performance, UAT, automation, production, and validation phases.
- Build and maintain mobile, UI, API, and functional test automation using Java, Appium, Selenium, Karate, Espresso, or XCUITest.
- Generate test execution, defect, and ad hoc reports, and provide testing metrics to IT teams and management.
- Identify and mitigate testing issues, dependencies, and risks while tracking quality metrics across testing phases.
- Debug defects and automation failures using logs, traces, and technical analysis, and collaborate with development teams on requirements and test strategies.
- Guide and influence quality services frameworks, support team learning, and provide technical guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Coordinate resources and collaborate with IT, business, development, vendors, and leadership stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, or equivalent additional work experience substituted for the degree.
- At least six years of experience in SQA, software testing, or a related field.
- At least two years of Appium or other mobile automation experience, with Appium preferred.
- At least one year of experience with native UI testing tools such as Espresso or XCUITest.
- At least one year of experience with device emulation or simulator tools such as Perfecto or BrowserStack.
- At least three years of Java-based test automation experience.
- At least three years of experience with test management tools such as QTest or QualityCenter.
- At least three years of experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or Rally.
- At least three years of experience with API testing or debugging tools such as Postman.
- At least one year in an informal lead role working with technical teams.
- Functional testing, mobile automation, and API or UI automation scripting are required.
- Ability to debug defects using logs and traces and to work closely with development teams on technical requirements and test cases.
- Preferred qualifications include leadership interaction, large matrixed organization experience, IT vendor experience, SDLC implementation experience, technical documentation, integration technologies, virtual testing environments, healthcare testing, business systems applications, data marts or data warehousing, and Azure or other cloud experience.
- Master’s degree, QAI/ASQ or similar certification, and experience with healthcare testing environments are preferred.
