Responsibilities
- Own the quality engineering strategy, standards, principles, measurable objectives, and continuous improvement for the assigned area.
- Act as Automation Architect by designing scalable automation frameworks and reusable patterns across UI, API, data, database, integration, contract, and component layers.
- Set standards for test code, including clean code, design patterns, code reviews, branching strategy, and reusable libraries.
- Build and optimize CI/CD-integrated smoke and regression automation with parallel execution and environment readiness checks.
- Define test strategies for functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and exploratory testing across epics and features.
- Lead quality risk assessments and ensure coverage for critical journeys, controls, and operational resilience.
- Support performance, resilience, accessibility, and security testing approaches.
- Evaluate and pilot responsible AI-assisted testing capabilities, including test generation, automation support, intelligent test selection, and agentic failure triage.
- Introduce contract testing, component testing, service virtualization, synthetic monitoring, and resilience testing where appropriate.
- Drive root-cause analysis, preventative actions, quality metrics, dashboards, and evidence-based release readiness communication.
Requirements
- Experienced professional capable of owning quality engineering strategy and leading automation architecture.
- Practical experience with Java, JavaScript, and Python for quality engineering and automation.
- Experience with UI automation using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Experience with API testing using Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, or Karate.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Stratus, or GCP.
- Experience with reporting and test management tools such as Allure, Extent, Jira, and Zephyr.
- Exposure to BDD with Cucumber is optional.
- Practical exposure to generative AI and agentic AI concepts and their responsible application to quality engineering.
