Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable AI-powered application systems and components, including advanced RAG pipelines and multi-agent workflows.
- Create and own evaluation and benchmarking frameworks for AI system quality, reliability, and performance.
- Optimize system latency, throughput, performance, scalability, resilience, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with platform, data, and AI teams to deliver robust production-ready solutions and improve system integration.
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of critical systems and strengthen engineering excellence across the team.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers and guide technical design, code quality, and capability development.
Requirements
- Deep experience with distributed systems and scalable application design.
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, advanced RAG patterns, and agentic workflows.
- Experience with performance optimization, cost management, and troubleshooting complex production systems.
- Experience designing AI evaluation frameworks, validating model behavior, and applying agentic engineering patterns.
- Applied data science experience with statistics, machine learning, deep learning, foundation models, semantic retrieval, feature engineering, model training, and monitoring.
- Ability to reason rigorously about data quality and model behavior and incorporate ethical AI, governance, and data privacy into systems.
- Technical leadership and mentoring ability.
- Development experience with Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience with SAP BTP is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-invoicing or ability to quickly learn domain-specific formats is preferred.
- Experience with microservice architecture, REST API-based applications, and AI-powered developer or customer-facing tools is preferred.
