Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-powered application systems and components.
- Create advanced RAG pipelines and multi-agent workflows.
- Build and own evaluation and benchmarking frameworks for AI system quality, reliability, and performance.
- Optimize system latency, throughput, cost efficiency, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
- Partner with platform, data, AI, product, and consulting teams on robust production solutions and system integration.
- Take end-to-end technical ownership of critical systems and contribute to engineering excellence.
- Mentor engineers and guide technical design, code quality, and capability development.
- Apply ethical AI, governance, and data privacy principles to systems.
Requirements
- Deep experience with distributed systems and scalable application design.
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, advanced RAG patterns, and agentic workflows.
- Experience with performance optimization, cost management, and troubleshooting complex production systems.
- Experience designing AI evaluation frameworks, validating model behavior, and applying agentic engineering patterns.
- Applied data science experience with statistics, machine learning, deep learning, foundation models, semantic retrieval, feature engineering, model training, and model monitoring.
- Ability to reason rigorously about data quality and model behavior.
- Technical leadership and mentoring ability.
- Hands-on SAP BTP experience is preferred.
- Development experience with Node.js, Python, or similar is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-invoicing or ability to quickly learn domain-specific formats.
- Experience with microservice architecture and REST API-based applications is preferred.
- Experience building AI-powered developer or customer-facing tools and interaction layers that make AI outputs actionable for non-technical users is preferred.
