Base Salary

$160k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture discussions during integration development.
  • Optimize tools for internal delivery teams and customers.
  • Perform full stack coding, focusing 80% on back end and 20% on front end.
  • Mentor other engineers on software engineering best practices.
  • Optimize performance of integration pipelines, APIs, and components.
  • Participate in discovery and architecture sessions with customers.
  • Build and monitor stable, performant, and scalable integration pipelines and APIs.
  • Provide live support and consulting to customers during integration.
  • Synthesize and deliver product feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to scope and execute features.
  • Advocate for flexible, scalable, and approachable codebase patterns.
  • Promote security and privacy best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as integrations engineer or consultant.
  • Strong startup mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with legacy systems, especially in government contexts.
  • Ability to architect, build, and maintain distributed integrated systems.
  • Comfort with APIs, data pipelines, and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiency in Ruby/Ruby on Rails and familiarity with other programming languages.
