Base Salary
$160k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture discussions and design reliable, performant, secure, and scalable integrations with customers.
- Build and maintain integration pipelines, APIs, connectors, endpoints, and related tools, with approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend coding.
- Optimize the performance, latency, and throughput of integration pipelines, APIs, and components.
- Monitor integrations, debug and triage post-launch issues, and provide live technical support and consulting to customer development teams.
- Participate in customer discovery, architecture, co-development, technical onboarding, and integration design sessions.
- Improve internal delivery and customer-facing tools and synthesize customer feedback for product and integration improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Management to scope and execute product features and mentor other engineers on software engineering practices.
- Promote maintainable, flexible, scalable, approachable code and champion security, privacy, and HIPAA compliance best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a customer-facing integrations, consulting, or similar role.
- Ability to architect, build, and maintain distributed integrated systems.
- Experience with APIs, data pipelines, ETL, and enterprise data warehouses.
- Strong experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails, plus comfort with languages such as Python, C#, and Java.
- Familiarity with legacy systems and their associated tradeoffs, preferably in a government context.
- Ability to manage work and time independently and collaborate with product, program management, sales, and other cross-functional partners.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, customer-support, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience and judgment involving generative AI is considered a significant advantage.
