Base Salary

$126k - $248k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product teams while considering the user perspective.
  • Collaborate with team members on engineering best practices and core concepts.
  • Plan and execute major features while representing Engineering in work with Product and Design.
  • Contribute across all parts of the stack and stay current with web engineering best practices.
  • Improve the reliability, speed, scalability, usability, and cost efficiency of MongoDB backup infrastructure.
  • Investigate difficult distributed-systems and production issues.

Requirements

  • Experience writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language such as Java, C#, or Go.
  • Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and production crises.
  • Experience with Linux and correlating application performance issues with underlying hardware limits.
  • Comfort working across the stack of a modern web application.
  • Curiosity, collaboration, intellectual honesty, and willingness to expand technical knowledge.
