Base Salary
$126k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product teams while considering the user perspective.
- Collaborate with team members on engineering best practices and core concepts.
- Plan and execute major features while representing Engineering in work with Product and Design.
- Contribute across all parts of the stack and stay current with web engineering best practices.
- Improve the reliability, speed, scalability, usability, and cost efficiency of MongoDB backup infrastructure.
- Investigate difficult distributed-systems and production issues.
Requirements
- Experience writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language such as Java, C#, or Go.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and production crises.
- Experience with Linux and correlating application performance issues with underlying hardware limits.
- Comfort working across the stack of a modern web application.
- Curiosity, collaboration, intellectual honesty, and willingness to expand technical knowledge.
