Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Dialpad’s web and desktop applications.
- Own significant features end-to-end and guide projects involving multiple engineers.
- Collaborate with data science to build an agentic AI framework.
- Write clean, modular, maintainable code and unit tests.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Deploy new releases on a weekly cadence and support on-call issue resolution.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product, and UX teams on shared components and practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Strong experience writing high-performance, reusable, and reliable Python code.
- Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue or React, plus HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with modern cloud platforms such as GCP or other cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Experience documenting architectural designs, technical decisions, and best practices.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to use AI tools such as Claude and Gemini to build features quickly.
