Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer solutions within an Agile software delivery team, including writing code and delivering sprint goals.
- Design, document, and develop enterprise applications using modern technologies and software design patterns.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle and collaborate continuously with stakeholders.
- Decompose acceptance criteria to assess backlog deliverables, complexity, and risk.
- Influence software architecture and contribute to technical and team standards.
- Collaborate with technical leadership and participate in Agile, Scrum, and broader technical community processes.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership for development teams when applicable.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a software engineer or developer using Java.
- Experience with software engineering best practices including unit testing, automation, design patterns, and peer review.
- Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles using Java.
- Experience with cloud-native development and container orchestration tools.
- Experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Vert.x.
- Exposure to Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Agile and iterative software delivery, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Exposure to relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Exposure to event-driven architecture and technologies such as Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and IBM MQ.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, or equivalent work experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency architecture; cloud infrastructure; API management; infrastructure as code; security, observability, and monitoring; technical leadership; job schedulers; and finance or compliance risk management.
