Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of backend architectures using Domain-Driven Design, bounded contexts, aggregates, entities, value objects, and domain services.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, expressive domain models and apply CQRS and Clean Architecture where appropriate.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable APIs and backend services.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, automated testing, resilience, and architectural governance.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and drive systemic improvements.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and frontend teams on cohesive system design and technical planning.
- Mentor and guide mid-level developers and communicate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend development experience, including significant experience with complex, domain-rich systems.
- Proven production experience applying Domain-Driven Design and implementing CQRS.
- Experience with microservices or modular monolith architectures and the ability to influence technical direction.
- Extensive .NET and C# backend development experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
- Strong knowledge of backend design patterns, Clean Architecture, separation of concerns, and domain-aligned database schemas.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases and modern ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework.
- Exposure to CosmosDB or other NoSQL/document databases.
- Familiarity with Docker and Azure environments and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and understanding distributed-systems concerns such as consistency, messaging, and eventual consistency.
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
