Responsibilities
- Establish the technical vision and architectural direction for projects.
- Lead design and code reviews and maintain high standards for software quality and consistency.
- Write code for the most critical or complex parts of the project.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery, including roadmaps, risks, blockers, quality, and timelines.
- Mentor engineers, pair on difficult problems, and support their technical growth.
- Serve as the primary technical contact and communicate technical concepts, status, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Product to translate requirements into technical solutions and balance feature delivery, technical debt, and innovation.
- Promote effective use of AI-assisted development tools, automation, and AI literacy across the team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong technical foundation.
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-sprint technical projects to successful delivery, typically as a Senior Engineer or Tech Lead.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and accelerate their technical growth.
- Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions for team-sized projects.
- Strong communication skills across technical and business contexts.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as SAFe or Scrum and modern software delivery practices.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and their effect on engineering productivity.
- Ability to make sound technical decisions amid ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Interest in progressing toward Engineering Manager or Staff Engineer leadership paths.
