Base Salary
$294k - $335k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the enterprise roadmap for distributed AI telemetry, streaming data engineering, and automated developer insights.
- Scale the internal developer telemetry platform into a low-latency, stateless system capable of processing billions of high-fidelity events annually across global regions.
- Deploy ML/AI inference capabilities, including LLM-as-a-Judge models, to evaluate code complexity, classify AI use cases, and measure generative AI throughput and ROI.
- Own real-time event-driven data strategy using a Medallion data structure and enterprise data lake integration.
- Correlate AI code density and developer telemetry with business metrics such as Feature Lead Time and pull-request cycle time.
- Design privacy, risk, and security controls including PII masking, token management, and secret filtering.
- Prototype systems, evaluate build-versus-buy options, author engineering patterns, and mentor senior and principal engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience with big data engineering, distributed computing, or data architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with big data and data streaming.
- At least 4 years of experience building and optimizing production-grade ML/AI lifecycles, pipelines, or frameworks.
- At least 2 years of cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Preferred: 10+ years of professional coding experience with Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
- Preferred: 6+ years designing high-throughput distributed streaming architectures or edge collection telemetry platforms.
- Preferred: technical leadership experience influencing executive stakeholders on major technology or AI strategy initiatives.
- Preferred: experience with compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, risk assessments, product-centric organizations, and engineering metrics such as DORA, SPACE, AI Telemetry, and Feature Lead Time.
