Base Salary
$120k - $154k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption protocols, security event management, and cloud security controls.
- Build and run Figure’s vulnerability management program.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security gates into the software development lifecycle and automate secure deployments.
- Manage third-party penetration tests, including scoping, vendor coordination, and remediation tracking.
- Automate routine patching, dependency upgrades, and other sources of operational toil.
- Conduct threat modeling, security assessments, and architecture reviews for new features and services.
- Lead initiatives that improve Figure’s security posture while balancing development speed and innovation.
- Mentor engineers on security best practices and promote security by design.
- Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews.
- Follow security policies and report suspected security incidents or suspicious activity.
Requirements
- Strong background in reading and writing code.
- Ability to architect, design, and implement end-to-end application and cloud security solutions.
- Experience with vulnerability management, including triage, prioritization, remediation tracking, and risk reporting.
- Experience integrating security gates and automation into software development workflows.
- Experience managing third-party penetration tests and remediation of findings.
- Ability to conduct threat modeling, security assessments, and architecture reviews.
- Ability to automate recurring security work such as patching and dependency upgrades.
- Ability to mentor engineers and lead cross-team security initiatives.
- Ability to participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews.
- Must comply with company security policies, data handling procedures, and mandatory security training requirements.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
