Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software supporting DARC2 radar mission capabilities.
- Develop Mission Transfer capabilities that preserve tracking responsibility, mission information, and track continuity between geographically separated radar sites.
- Build software for radar tracking, track management, track-data processing, sensor coordination, mission processing, system control, and distributed interfaces.
- Analyze architectures, requirements, algorithms, data structures, messaging, interfaces, and system data flows.
- Troubleshoot software, system-interface, data-processing, synchronization, timing, communications, and performance issues.
- Support software installation, configuration, deployment, integration, checkout, verification, releases, and operational or field-site activities.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and system-level tests for multi-site mission scenarios and interfaces.
- Collaborate with radar, systems, software, integration, test, cybersecurity, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support configuration management, source control, build processes, continuous integration, technical baselines, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Create and maintain software design, interface, test, problem-report, and other technical documentation.
- Travel up to 25% for integration and testing, Mission Transfer verification, customer meetings, installation, coordination, and field support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM discipline with at least 8 years of related experience, or a master's degree with at least 6 years of related experience.
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance and ability to maintain required and program-specific clearances.
- Significant professional software development experience using C++, plus experience with Python and Java.
- Experience designing, developing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting software for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, software engineering principles, architectures, interfaces, requirements, messaging, and system data flows.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting in Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments and working with distributed software systems and system-to-system interfaces.
- Experience with software configuration management, version control, build processes, controlled releases, debugging, performance analysis, integration testing, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent development and collaboration tools, and with Agile software development environments.
- Ability to work with complex technical documentation and collaborate across software, systems, hardware, integration, test, and operations teams.
- Preferred qualifications include radar, sensor, tracking, Space Domain Awareness, phased-array, real-time distributed systems, signal-processing, MATLAB, CUDA, GPU, Docker, Kafka, networked-application, automated-testing, DevSecOps, and DoD or U.S. Space Force experience.
- Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140 certification is preferred.
