Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and implementation of resilient Java microservices for network topology discovery, service provisioning, circuit path computation, and lifecycle management.
- Architect scalable Python test automation frameworks and mentor engineers on end-to-end testing of distributed systems.
- Profile and optimize microservice concurrency, performance, and memory usage in containerized Kubernetes environments.
- Drive code reviews, test-driven development, automated regression guardrails, and technical onboarding.
- Partner with product leads and architects to ensure carrier-grade reliability and resolve critical customer escalations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 6 to 9+ years of experience designing and developing distributed enterprise or networking software.
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot or Micronaut, concurrency and multithreading, distributed data caching, transactional consistency, and REST/gRPC API design.
- Extensive experience designing modular Python test frameworks using PyTest, Robot Framework, and mock servers.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, distributed state management, and Linux systems internals.
- Preferred experience with optical networking domains including ROADM, transponders, OTN, DWDM, L0-L3 network topologies, or PCE/path-computation algorithms.
