Responsibilities

  • Own cross-functional infrastructure and data-platform initiatives from technical discovery and requirements through architecture, implementation, testing, release, monitoring, and handover.
  • Translate regulatory and operational needs into data contracts, technical specifications, product requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
  • Design, build, and operate reliable queries, data pipelines, data models, APIs, integrations, and reporting infrastructure for accurate, secure, and auditable regulatory outputs.
  • Design, prototype, and productionize AI-enabled workflows with validation, human oversight, data protection, auditability, and post-launch ownership.
  • Shape the data-sharing automation roadmap, establish reusable technical patterns, lead user acceptance testing and release readiness, and mentor analysts and junior engineers.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory and Data Sharing Operations, Marketplace Operations, Trust & Safety, Product & Technology, Legal, Tax, Traveler and Partner Service Platform, and other global stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience with infrastructure engineering, data engineering, scalable cloud-based systems, infrastructure platforms, data services, or enterprise integrations in production.
  • Experience independently leading technical projects involving multiple systems, services, data sources, or cross-functional partners.
  • Expert SQL and data-modeling skills, including complex joins, reconciliation, aggregation, date logic, exception handling, and performance-aware query design.
  • Experience developing or operating production data pipelines, reporting processes, or workflow automation with repeatable controls and auditability.
  • Experience designing or implementing AI-assisted workflows, intelligent automation, or decision-support tools with validation, human oversight, security, privacy, and governance.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, version control, testing, monitoring, alerting, incident response, or root-cause analysis.
  • Preferred experience includes infrastructure or configuration as code, cloud operations, CI/CD deployment, observability, secure operational controls, business intelligence, enterprise integrations, data-quality controls, compliance data, user acceptance testing, operational runbooks, LLMs, agentic workflows, semantic indexing, document or data extraction, and workflow orchestration.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners and influence stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
