Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture, identify inefficiencies, and optimize code for mainframe performance.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions supporting mission-critical applications.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Develop scalable and robust software using Java, microservices, Spring Boot, Python, AWS services, databases, containers, and messaging queues.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and software development experience with Java, microservices, Spring Boot, Python, AWS Lambda, Amazon SNS, and Amazon API Gateway.
- Experience developing scalable and robust software and applying software development methodologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Hyperscaler certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
