Responsibilities
- Design, test, code, instrument, and implement new software solutions with minimal support.
- Mentor junior engineers and new team members through technical challenges and team processes.
- Monitor operational and quality metrics and identify opportunities to improve service performance and system health.
- Support production systems through proactive monitoring, incident response, bottleneck analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Review work with senior team members to ensure readable, maintainable code and comprehensive test coverage.
- Strengthen engineering processes using TDD, BDD, microservice architecture, and vertical slice architecture.
- Use AI-powered development tools to improve coding efficiency and software quality.
- Learn new technologies and share findings with the engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of software engineering work experience.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Knowledge of C#, Python when applicable, object-oriented programming, SOLID, and software design principles.
- Experience or aptitude integrating AI/ML-driven development workflows into the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Kafka, modern relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn technologies including Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GraphQL, ASP.NET, Angular, and React.
