Base Salary

$100k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions using the Appian platform.
  • Work across the full project lifecycle to understand customer business processes and technical needs.
  • Launch relational data models in production and develop APIs integrating multiple systems.
  • Brainstorm AI use cases and implement RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative-model solutions.
  • Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead small post-sale implementation teams and mentor or develop other team members.
  • Drive customer adoption by enabling clients to become self-sufficient in building process applications.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for candidates considered for public-sector roles.
  • Experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementations and a passion for mentoring others.
  • Ability to define business processes, gather functional and technical requirements, and collaborate with client technical teams and business users.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, database design, data modeling, and SQL queries, joins, and views.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices, automated test suites, continuous integration, APIs, REST, SOAP, JDBC, and web services.
  • Familiarity with AWS, artificial intelligence, analytics, machine learning, Google Cloud, application integration, database tools, developer tools, management and governance, and elastic containers is preferred.
  • Strong communication, continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel 20% or less annually.
