Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Python backend using FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLModel/SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and pgvector.
- Design APIs and data models that power the platform.
- Contribute across the stack using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js when needed.
- Build AI-powered workflows using language models, orchestration frameworks, and evaluation tooling.
- Build, deploy, and operate AWS services with infrastructure managed through Terraform.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to ship user-centric features.
- Contribute to architecture, engineering best practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with a modern web framework such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Experience with data and API modeling, including Pydantic, SQL, or ORMs, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS; Terraform experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI agents in production is a bonus.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle.
- Pragmatic mindset, strong ownership, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
