Base Salary

$100k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive feature development within application services and translate requirements into structured, scalable, maintainable, and performant code plans.
  • Design, implement, test, debug, optimize, and operate distributed application services and integrations.
  • Provide global production support, troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues, and resolve customer-reported defects.
  • Lead code reviews, software architecture work, API versioning and interoperability strategies, and performance and scalability improvements.
  • Implement testing, quality assurance, logging, monitoring, observability, automation, patching, and secure development practices.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Coordinate moderately complex projects, monitor timelines and deliverables, and provide technical oversight across multiple initiatives.
  • Collaborate with QA, product, design, engineering, customers, stakeholders, and external networks to align requirements and solutions.
  • Participate in candidate interviews, candidate assessments, and hiring recommendations.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government security clearance, TS/SCI with Poly, are required at hire.
  • Requires 11 years of software development experience; or a relevant technical bachelor's degree plus 7 years; or a relevant technical master's degree plus 5 years; or a relevant technical doctorate plus 3 years.
  • Requires 6 years of experience with programming and/or scripting languages and 4 years of experience with databases.
  • Experience designing, building, testing, and operating distributed application services is required.
  • Requires experience with code review, automation, quality assurance, secure development practices, and technical mentorship.
  • Preferred experience includes 3 years with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Preferred experience includes operating budgets and/or project financials.
  • Preferred experience includes RESTful APIs, microservices, service-oriented architecture, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, Linux, observability, and incident response.
  • Experience delivering software in regulated, classified, sovereign, or air-gapped environments is preferred.
