Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend software for authentication, identification, KYC, consent, GDPR-compliant data processing, and client technology products.
- Build and own complex software projects and microservices from development through production.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, secure, and well-documented code.
- Use AWS cloud services and contribute to cloud-native, DevOps-enabled infrastructure.
- Improve engineering excellence and deliver measurable business value in collaboration with software engineers and academics.
Requirements
- Extensive backend development experience with Java or Kotlin, JWT, Docker, Spring, AWS, Git, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with complex software projects, microservices, and end-to-end ownership.
- Practical experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
- Relevant university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical thinking across technical and product domains.
- Professional proficiency in English and clear, open, concise communication.
- A passion for well-architected, testable, documented code and an agile mindset.
- Previous security or DevOps experience is advantageous.
- Financial industry or financial software product development experience is advantageous.
