Responsibilities
- Improve physics system scalability across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
- Diagnose CPU bottlenecks and profile memory to maintain physics performance at 60+ FPS.
- Tune collision detection, ragdoll physics, and rigid body dynamics for realistic game behavior.
- Use profiling tools to analyze and fix physics glitches.
- Collaborate with animators and game designers to improve gameplay.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing real-time physics systems for games or interactive applications.
- Experience with C++ and physics engines such as Chaos, Havok, PhysX, Bullet, or proprietary solutions.
- Experience diagnosing performance issues and improving physics calculations for games running at 60+ FPS.
- Strong performance and memory profiling and trace-analysis skills using PIX or similar tools.
- Frostbite knowledge is a plus.
- Experience shipping games on multiple platforms is a plus.
