Responsibilities

  • Improve physics system scalability across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
  • Diagnose CPU bottlenecks and profile memory to maintain physics performance at 60+ FPS.
  • Tune collision detection, ragdoll physics, and rigid body dynamics for realistic game behavior.
  • Use profiling tools to analyze and fix physics glitches.
  • Collaborate with animators and game designers to improve gameplay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing real-time physics systems for games or interactive applications.
  • Experience with C++ and physics engines such as Chaos, Havok, PhysX, Bullet, or proprietary solutions.
  • Experience diagnosing performance issues and improving physics calculations for games running at 60+ FPS.
  • Strong performance and memory profiling and trace-analysis skills using PIX or similar tools.
  • Frostbite knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience shipping games on multiple platforms is a plus.
