Responsibilities
- Create test plans, test scripts, and test cases for product validation and bug fixes based on system requirements.
- Verify, validate, and regression test application and embedded software, including Linux networking, wireless telecommunications protocols, PBX switching systems, and graphical user interfaces.
- Review, update, execute, and analyze automated regression tests.
- Identify opportunities to introduce and implement test automation.
- Troubleshoot software and network problems and implement appropriate corrections.
- Travel occasionally to work with contract developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 4–7 years of software, firmware, and/or system testing experience, including test planning, integration testing, and system-level testing.
- Strong quality assurance experience, particularly in automation scripting.
- Fluency in at least one high-level, object-oriented, general-purpose programming language; Python and Java are preferred.
- Fluency in Unix shell scripting and development in a Linux operating system environment.
- TCP/IP network administration skills on a Linux platform.
- Preferred qualifications include audio parameter testing, voice quality analysis, avionics industry and DO-178B experience or knowledge, Linux server administration, and satellite communication experience.
