Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performant software and platform capabilities.
- Architect enterprise-scale platforms and infrastructure using distributed systems, active-active designs, and failover patterns.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency production systems using Python, Go, or Java.
- Develop and operate AI and agentic AI platform capabilities, including model serving, multi-tenancy, RAG, and agent protocols.
- Work with AWS, EKS, Envoy, service mesh technologies, GPU scheduling, and cloud infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, stakeholders, and senior leadership on requirements, solution strategies, and technical direction.
- Apply secure coding, unit testing, AI safety, guardrails, risk management, and control practices.
- Lead collaborative, multi-year assignments, guide less experienced specialists, and contribute to technical strategy and organizational technology communities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of platform or infrastructure architecture experience at enterprise scale.
- Expert Python experience, including FastAPI and asynchronous programming, or equivalent expertise in Go or Java.
- Experience with distributed systems, active-active architecture, and failover patterns.
- Deep experience with AWS, EKS, Envoy, Bedrock, IAM, Aurora, CloudFormation, GPU scheduling, multi-tenancy, and service mesh technologies such as Istio.
- Experience with generative AI and agentic AI, including LangGraph or LangChain, Google ADK, MCP or A2A protocols, prompt engineering, RAG, and vLLM serving.
- Knowledge of AI safety and guardrails, including prompt-injection detection, PII redaction, and content filtering.
- Knowledge of AI security frameworks including NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, and OWASP LLM Top 10.
- Experience with Envoy Proxy, xDS API, WASM filters, or AI Gateway extensions is valued.
- Financial-services experience involving regulation, data residency, or compliance is valued.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, perform complex analysis, manage risk and controls, and guide stakeholders and less experienced specialists.
