Base Salary
$150k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead customer data solutions from discovery and requirements through architecture, implementation, testing, go-live, documentation, and operational handoff.
- Build, operate, and maintain data pipelines using APIs, webhooks, event streams, batch workflows, and modern data tooling.
- Model manufacturing data including parts, bills of materials, work orders, inventory, quality, labor, costs, and engineering changes.
- Implement data validation, observability, lineage, access controls, retries, backfills, and incident-response practices.
- Convert customer deployments into reusable pipelines, semantic models, reference architectures, test harnesses, runbooks, and platform improvements.
- Work directly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to resolve ambiguous operational problems and communicate tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or another role building production data systems.
- Strong programming ability in Python and fluency with SQL, data modeling, testing, version control, and code review.
- Experience building and operating pipelines across APIs, transactional databases, event streams, object storage, and cloud data platforms.
- Understanding of distributed-system and data-quality failure modes including idempotency, ordering, schema evolution, reconciliation, observability, and access control.
- Ability to work directly with customers, create technical plans from ambiguous problems, and communicate with engineers and business leaders.
- Preferred experience with manufacturing, supply-chain, ERP, PLM, MES, quality, industrial data, AWS, dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Kafka, cloud warehouses or lakehouses, metrics layers, analytical data products, enterprise security, regulated environments, air-gapped networks, customer-managed infrastructure, or customer-facing technical delivery.
