Responsibilities

  • Lead API design and development based on business requirements, architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Develop complex system and business logic using Java/J2EE and modern development practices.
  • Implement enterprise-scale microservices, API integrations, and digital transformation solutions.
  • Provide next-level operational support, troubleshooting, problem solving, and performance tuning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development quality, process efficiency, and engineering practices.
  • Coach junior developers and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, multi-platform solutions and develop project plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, web services, SOAP, JSON, REST, and Angular.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with microservices and API development in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong programming, technical design, system integration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, analytical, and inductive-thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead complex technical designs, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior developers.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is an asset.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as OpenShift or Kubernetes is an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
