Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Python backend services and APIs using Flask and FastAPI.
- Develop production-ready AI and LLM APIs, including REST and WebSocket streaming, authentication, and access control.
- Implement GPT and open-source model solutions with prompt design, evaluation, versioning, and cost/performance optimization.
- Build and maintain RAG pipelines involving ingestion, embeddings, vector search, and agent/tool-calling workflows.
- Integrate databases, APIs, file systems, messaging platforms, and other internal and external tools into LLM-based agents.
- Develop schemas, queries, transactions, and ORM integrations using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy.
- Apply classical machine learning and statistical techniques when appropriate.
- Maintain secure, reliable, well-documented code and apply privacy, compliance, secret-management, and data-handling practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a corporate IT environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in AI plus experience across machine learning, Python, Flask, and FastAPI, or a combination of at least three listed areas with AI required.
- Strong Python software design, debugging, performance profiling, reliability, and security skills.
- Solid SQL Server and PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, indexing, optimization, and ORM usage.
- Experience with security, privacy, compliance, secret management, data handling, and access control.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and automated testing, build, and deployment pipelines is preferred.
- Light JavaScript experience for integration or tooling is preferred.
- Ability to work in an organized, self-directed, deadline-focused manner in distributed teams.
